Agra is a popular tourists destination, which has stood the test of times and has strived to woo the hearts of the tourists from every nook and corner of the world. The house of the magnificent and the marvellous Taj Mahal, Agra also has many ancient architectural buildings like Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza and Tomb of Iltutmish. People flock this revered city every day, and it has successfully won the hearts of all.



The major footfall in this city is from the cities of Jaipur and Delhi, with which it forms the Golden Triangle, owing to the proximity of these cities. There are taxis and buses running to and fro between these cities. There are also trains and planes which connect Agra to all major cities of India. New Delhi to Agra distance by train will take three hours to traverse and would not be much full of hassle as the journey is short.

This market is famous for the khadi fabric, which is homespun, as advised by Mahatma Gandhi. Clothes for men are available, and they are made from pure khadi material. Visit this market to buy some traditional outfits. It is located on the MG Road.

  1. Wine Shop: the Wine Shop is a popular shop which sells the best quality wines and whiskies. It is located in Taj Ganj and a small bottle would cost you around 150 bucks. Visit this shop and taste the best wines of the country. There is also a popular Beer Shop from where you can buy a bottle of Kingfisher and hangout with your friends with a nice party.

  1. Subhash Emporium: a little expensive, but who minds spending a few extra bucks when you can get some good things at cheap prices. The marble work done here is amazing and you will be enthralled by the work of the miraculous fingers of the craftsmen. This place is perfect to buy the marble items, and you can go home with some of the best pieces as souvenirs. The idols of the Indian Gods made of marble are also artistic and beautiful. And regarding the price, they are quite pocket friendly as compared to other shops in the place.

  1. Subhash Bazar: Want to buy some pretty nice gifts for your beloved lady? This time gift her with beautiful and exquisite silk sarees. The Subhash Bazar is popular for its silk cloth and other material. Must stop by it.

  1. Modern Book Depot: the 60-year old bookshop is truly a paradise your book lovers. You can buy your favourite novel, of all genres, classic, fiction, horror, comedy and many more at this shop. It also sells a variety of magazines and other travel guides. Visit this shop and pick a few books. It is not very far from the Agra Railway station. So visit it and enjoy.
